UPDATE ON THE 2026 BRIDGE OF THE GODS RUN: 

We are so sorry to share that the 2026 Bridge of the Gods Run must be canceled due to circumstances outside of our control.

Due to a large landslide that has completely buried and removed access to a significant section of our course along the Historic Highway trail, we’ve been informed by Oregon State Parks and Oregon Department of Transportation that the route will not be passable in time for this year’s event. The slide includes deep mud, rocks, and trees, and clean up will also require ensuring the stability of the remaining hillside.

We have explored every possible alternative, and unfortunately, permitting will not be allowed, and there are no viable options to safely move forward this year.

This event is incredibly special to us; we look forward to it every year and love seeing so many familiar faces. We know many of you feel the same, and we share in your disappointment.

Refunds
We always aim to be prepared for the unexpected, and fortunately, we carry event cancellation insurance for situations like this. We are beginning the insurance claim process. When approved, refunds will be initiated by the insurance company and paid through the RunReg registration platform back to your original form of payment.

While we fully expect this process to result in refunds, it does involve both our insurance provider and registration system. Timing is estimated at approximately 2–3 months. We truly appreciate your patience in this process.

 

Looking Ahead
We are already planning for 2027. Breakaway Promotions is also working on some new additions to bring even more great events to your race calendar.

FAQ

What if I registered using a rollover or credit from a prior year?
If your registration was applied for using a rollover or credit, we will extend that credit for you. You may use it toward another Breakaway Promotions event in 2026 or apply it to a 2027 event.

When will I receive my refund?
The entire process, from insurance claim review through refund processing, is expected to take approximately 2–3 months.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds will be issued back to your original form of payment by the insurance company through the RunReg registration platform.

Will the event return?
Yes! We will continue working with the Cascade Locks community, Oregon State Parks and Oregon Department of Transportation to support the significant effort of restoring the trail for everyone to enjoy. Our plan is to bring Bridge of the Gods back in as soon as possible, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
